TES Founder and President Robert "Bob" MarcheseBob Marchese brings more than 25 years of event planning, marketing, sales, and consulting skills to Tactical Events Solutions. 

Bob created the concept of "tactical events" - singular or serial business events which help companies find new markets, increase sales, and facilitate process change through creative event planning, design, and execution.

Rather than just focusing on a single event's goals - Bob believes the marketing plan should drive strategic event planning through all phases from concept to execution.

TES is based on the premise that face - to - face events of all sizes and shapes (from small strategic business meetings to larger scale venued events) help build "enduring relationships" and trust - the twin foundations of successsful, profitable business ventures.

Bob founded Tactical Events Solutions in 2009.  His personal skills include an ingrained sense of professionalism balanced with humor and intellectual curiosity. He believes in the strength of cultural diversity, based upon extensive experience living and traveling abroad

Professional Experience

  • 2009 - Present - President and Founder, Tactical Event Solutions
  • 1997 - Present - Contract International Briefing Consultant, IBM, specializing in strategic and tactical event consulting, planning, design, and execution
  • 1995-97: Moved to Brussels, Belgium, and opened the European office of a small US software company and worked on consulting contracts for the start-up.
  • 1993-95: After retirement from IBM, moved to North Carolina, created China Trade Associates to consult with US high tech companies to trade with the Republic of China
  • 1965-1993 - International Business Machines (IBM) - Highlights Include
  • 1990-92: Tokyo (Manager of Market Research - responsible for IBM's Industry Estimates in Asia Pacific)
  • 1988-90: Hong Kong (Manager of Business Volumes)
  • 1982-84: Paris (Manager of Plan Volumes)
  • 1974 - 1982 - Product Management, Forecaster for Europe
  • 1972-74: salesman in a small business territory (100% Club) 
  • 1965 - 67, 1969 -72 - Business Process Training Development, Systems Analyst

Education and Military

  • 1964: graduated from the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. - BA: Political Science
  • 1967-69: honor graduate from US Army Infantry Officers Candidate School (OCS) - served as an officer on the 8th Army Inspector General's Team (Korea) and Company Commander (Texas)

Personal

Bob enjoys skiing, traveling, biking, hiking, reading and cooking...and always good companionship and inspiring conversation. Bob is married with two grown children and one granddaughter.
